The Diaspora Spice Co. Cookbook was made to honour the farmers whose labour sustains the food we consume but often goes unseen. With 85+ recipes, a very lengthy pantry chapter, and historical context on the spice trade, the manuscript was packed with a lot of heart.

My goal was to highlight the hands the food and ingredients come from & to prove that food with the context of where it comes from has deeper flavor. My approach was people forward - highlight the farms and families who run these farms & keep it food focused and cookable - clean layouts to show process and the beauty of fresh South Asian food.
